1st Cranbourne is happy to announce we have eight spaces available for boys and girls aged 6 to 7 1/2 years of age within our Joey Scout mob, Joey Scouts is the first level of scouting. Our aim is to provide a safe, fun, learning environment for young boys and girls, from 6 to 7 1/2 years old,
A trained Joey Scout Leader guides the Joey Scout Mob of up to 20 boys and girls as they learn to share and care for each other in a social environment. Joey Scouts experience the world around them, by doing, rather than just being taught. They develop an understanding of the impact of our modern world, and themselves, on the environment.
Joey Scouts are encouraged to express themselves creatively, through games, stories and craft activities. Building monsters and spaceships from scrap items, growing plants from seedlings or singing songs together all develop a strong sense of belonging.
Joey Scouts are taught to jump in and help other people and to share with their friends. They enjoy visits to special places such as the local fire station or the Melbourne zoo and visitors to their meetings create more excitement..
Joey Scouts wear a Group Scarf and a Joey Scout t-shirt so everyone knows they are Joey Scouts. A Joey Scout Mob is part of a larger Scout Group, so they wear the same scarf as all the older members of that Group - the Cub Scouts, the Scouts, the Venturers, Rovers, and even the Leaders.
Joey Scouts meet every Wednesday, in the local Scout Hall 255 South Gippsland Highway, nr Cranbourne Pl, CRANBOURNE, VIC, 3977
Those who miss out on this round will be placed on a waiting list for intake latter in the year.
