More than 150 Scouting friends and family have defied today’s heat to be part of the investiture of the new State Leadership Team at Heathmont Scout hall.  Each member of the team was invested by a youth member.

Chief Commissioner Brendan Watson, a former youth member and Scout Leader at Heathmont, was invested by Heathmont Scouts Ashley and Alex. Deputy Chief Commissioner Jon Willis was invested by his son Chris, while Greg McDougall was invested by his grandson Lachlan. Others were invested by friends or members of their home Group.

Brendan is the 21st – and youngest – Chief Commissioner in Victorian Scout history.

We also have a Rover on the State Leadership Team. Morris Orchard is Assistant Chief Commissioner – Youth.
