Andrew Clark

PADI Instructor Number 495162, Andrew started his diving career in February 2005 at the age of 15 after deciding to do the Open Water course for his Queen Scout. Discovering diving was a lot of fun, Andrew went on to do his Advanced Open Water two months later.

In January 2006 Andrew went to Sydney to the Venturer where he was part of the diving group and gained his Underwater Photography Specialty qualification.  Also in 2006 he gained his Rescue Diver qualification.

During 2007 he gained several other speciality qualifications and that same year became a Master Diver. Late in 2007 he started his Dive Master certification and gained this in April 2008.

In 2010 Andrew went to Fiji and gained his Instructor rating and in late 2010 went back to Fiji and worked as a dive instructor in a dive shop for several months where he gained his Master Scuba Diver Trainer qualification.

Andrew has just been booted from the Craigieburn Rover crew.

Bruce Ellis

PADI Instructor Number 495002, Bruce started diving at University in 1976, gaining his FAUI Open water qualification. After a period away from diving Bruce attended Venture 2000 as a line leader and returned to the sport, regaining his open water and advanced open water qualifications in early 2002, and Rescue Diver in 2005.

In January 2006 Bruce was a line leader for the Sydney Venturer where he was VL for the diving group and gained his Underwater Photography Specialty qualification. During 2006, several Venturers from V2006 asked to join Bruce in his diving. It quickly became evident that more training would be necessary to do this. These dives brought Bruce, and now State Leader, Trevor Clark together with the common thought of getting a Branch Activity Team together to enable Victorian Venturer, Rovers and Leaders to learn and enjoy Scuba Diving regularly.

During 2007, along with Andrew Clark, gained several other speciality qualifications and that same year became a Master Diver. Late in 2007 he started his Dive Master certification and gained this in April 2008.

In 2010 Bruce took a team of 3 to Fiji, where all 3 gained their Open Water Instructor ratings.

Since 2007 when Scout Scuba Victoria began, Bruce has been present at just about every SSV activity, and has been part of introducing over 1250 Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders to Scuba.

Bruce is a Venturer Scout Commissioner, A First Aid Instructor and is an Assistant Leader Trainer.
